IF we were having coffee…

If we were having coffee.. we could sit in my light blue reading room and look out the window at the tall trees and sip on some Guatemala Antigua French pressed coffee. I’d tell you that yesterday I was not in a good frame of mind, my Winter blues were kicking me in the face and I had terrible cabin fever. After going to the beach just earlier this week, which feels like a month ago, I’m really craving the sea air and sunshine and really wanting to move. It seems one roadblock after another is keeping us stuck where we are. But today the sun is out, it’s a little warmer and I’m determined to keep moving forward. We will get jobs at the beach, we will find a decent, affordable, safe place to live! I will get someone to edit my novel and find an artist to make the cover. This got me looking at covers of my favorite authors, it does make me sad now that I’ve given into reading on a used kindle, that I don’t see book covers anymore. Here are some of my favorites! In looking at these, it’s surprising how they all feature silhouettes with no face, very bright colors, and bewitching images ๐Ÿ™‚ They are amazing mysteries, you can click on the pic to read about the authors as well.

I'm on a creative journey to explore different artistic mediums. I'm a novice trying to find my expression in the world. I love finding inspiring things to photograph, writing on my novels, journaling, and trying different types of art. I love playing in the woods and finding new places to explore. I'm also mom to a wild and wonderful 1 yr old which is a journey in itself. Stop in, have some coffee, and make a comment if you wish. Namaste!

  1. You can still see the covers on a Kindle. Just go to cover from the home menu. It’s not the same in black and white but the covers are still there. And thank you for that delicious French pressed coffee! I’ve never mastered the French press. I always screw it up and end up with coffee grounds in the coffee. Always. I have three different French presses. I just can’t do it right. My daughter has tried and tried to teach me but I’m a French press dummy. That’s why I enjoy it so much when others fix it for me!

  2. I’m a little jealous that you have a blue reading room with a view of big old trees! Sounds like a lovely place for coffee.

And I know what you mean about missing book covers. Sometimes I browse the paperback sections at Target just to see what book covers are like now. lol
