For the Daily Post Challenge, I love the depth of the different piers and the island against the horizon in this one. Another from Beaufort, NC. I’m on a roll posting harbor and beach pictures lately because that’s where I want to be!

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: This Land Is My Land
This gallery contains 3 photos.
As I was walking that ribbon of highway,
I saw above me that endless skyway:
I saw below me that golden valley:
This land was made for you and me.
I’ve roamed and rambled and I followed my footsteps,
To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts;
And all around me a voice was sounding:
This land was made for […]
Blogging 101 and Words Crush Wednesday
Today’s challenge: pick a blogging event from the Community Event Listings to try for some instant community. I decided to try Words Crush Wednesday, I am always inspired by the naturalist John Muir. Getting back to Nature always renews me 🙂
One Word Photo Challenge: Beige
It is one of the silos from an old tobacco farm at Reynolda Village, here in Winston-Salem, named for cigarette companies lol. This is an old picture from the website of the village.

Share Your World – 2015 Week #4
Where did you live at age five? Is it the same place or town you live now?
At age 5 I lived in Ocean Springs, MS. We moved to Biloxi, MS when I was 6 and since then I have lived all over North Carolina and Colorado.
You are invited to a party that will be attended by many fascinating people you never met. Would you attend this party if you were to go by yourself?
I would be very nervous, but I would go if there were fascinating people 🙂 I imagine going to a masquerade party like the scene from the Labyrinth movie with David Bowie!
Did you grow up in a small or big town? Did you like it?
I grew up mostly in Biloxi, MS which I thought was bigger, but I looked it up and in 2010 the population was only 44K so I guess it was smaller than I remember. I do know my graduating class was around 1000 so not too small.
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to be a marine biologist, I did a report on it and interviewed a professional in 2nd grade. Somewhere along the way I got a Biotechnology degree and then a Master’s in Acupuncture, so I went to the far end of the opposite spectrum from marine biology. 🙂
Bonus question: Â What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I’m grateful that I got to travel to the beach in Wilmington, NC and I’m nervous and excited about hopefully moving there in the next month!
